Choose leveling equipment and wheel chocks rated for your rig, then follow its prescribed parking and stabilization procedure. Leveling, stabilizing, and supporting a vehicle are different tasks. Do not use stabilizers to lift the RV unless the manufacturer explicitly allows it.
Look at the site before pulling in
Check slope, surface, branches, utility placement, and room for slides and awnings. Verify the site works before unhooking or deploying equipment.
Use equipment with a known job
Confirm load ratings and compatibility for blocks, chocks, and jack pads. Follow the RV and equipment instructions, especially for slide operation and the sequence of leveling.
Finish with a slow walkaround
Check clearances, footing, hookups, cable paths, and the steps. Keep cables and hoses out of walking routes wherever practical, and note anything you will need to reverse at departure.
